THANKS TO ALL MY CUSTOMERS OVER THIS PAST WEEKEND, WE HAD A SPLENDID TIME BOTH SELLING AND VISITING! I APPRECIATE EACH AND EVERYONE OF YOU AND ENJOY YOUR THOUGHTS ON SHABBY CHIC AND YOUR KIND COMMENTS OF MY INVENTORY. A GOOD WEEKEND!! WE SOLD SEVERAL THINGS THAT WERE NEW TO THE SHOP ON FRIDAY!

NEW INVENTORY AT CAROL'S COTTAGE PLACE

This chest, night stand or whatever you would like to use it for, has 2 large drawers and beautiful chrome legs and trim.  Art Deco???  Only priced at $59.00, so it will go fast. 

Lots and lots of bottles!  Many of them are glass decanters with glass stoppers for lids.   Some are quite unique.  Over 50 bottles in this collection and they are going out the door.   Must be some bottle collecters here??  

This blue chair

 This chair is one of a kind.   Robin's egg blue with the blue/green cushion seat makes it so.   Cute side chair for bedroom, desk, or wherever!   And the blue shelf unit is the same.   Also this old drawer has been painted the blue to match.   The inside is now a blackboard and can be used anywhere in your home!   Kid's room, den, kitchen, back door, just wherever you need to notify someone of a message!  

Another drawer was left plain on the inside, so it can be used for a shelf!   Handy, and will hang on just 2 nails on any wall.   The lip on the back of the drawer makes a perfect hanger and easy to put up.  

We have 4 of these dining chairs.   They are off/white and distressed to be Shabby Chic.   Beautiful flowered upholstery on the padded seats.   Later I will show them to you with a round dining table, but they are all priced separately for your convenience. 

This is a darling children's table and 2 chairs.  The top of the table is blackboard so they can write and erase it to their heart's content!   The chairs are those old heavy oak chairs from a school somewhere, and they won't tip over easily even when a 2 yr. old tries to climb up and sit on them!    Off/white and a little bit of distressing but not much.  They can take a lot in the future! 

 

 

I purposely enlarged this so you can see the nice basket that you can use for lots of things.   Notice the way it is woven and is not just straw.   A really nice strong basket with shells for trim for a beechy or coastal feel!  

 

6 heavy, heavy coffee mugs -- ironstone? maybe? but they will keep your coffee hot!  no chips, so make a nice gift too! 

A new green color for us at Carol's Cottage Place and we like it!   A little darker than our previous depression green and it has been well received!   The table and chair match.  They areboth from the early American era and maple wood, so very heavy and sturdy.   A shelf under the table holds a silver tray right now, but magazines, the phone book, or whatever???  will be in place threre.

A very sturdy end table with a large drawer!  The top is rectangular and flat.   It will be just right with a lamp on it by your chair or couch!  

This green (and little bit of red) chair is a Fun Chair, I call them.   Someone has painted it all up this way.   I bought it as it is, and it is a very old oak chair.   But still sturdy and good for years to come. 

A lovely 6 drawer dresser with a large mirror that attaches to the back.  Very attractively painted with gray and off/white.   There is now a night stand to match, but I don't have a picture of it yet.   This is large, old, and all wood.   Very nice condition.   You will like it. 

Nice little black metal lamp.   It has 2 bulbs laying sideways and gives out a lot of light as the metal shade is white on the inside.   I have 2 of these.  

This is a black lamp also, but it hangs on the wall.  Perfect for a hallway or above your bed.   Old but working well.  

 An old blue quart fruit jar with the lead lid has been made into a lamp.   The bright red shade makes it very appealing. 

Another lamp, green base and off/white shade.  Gives off good light and matches well with shabby chic decor.  

 An off/white lamp with matching shade.  This is a bright light and has a heavy base.   nice! 

Silver metal lamp with fabric shade.   Very attractive!   I have 2 of these!   So if a pair alike is needed, here they are!!

I call this "My Cart".  My husband put wheels on this and it is very easy to pull around with the handle on the front.   The 2 dowels on the top would hold ......... many things,  dish towels, and the bottom lids???  Or for a women's tool box, a hammer, pliers etc will hang on the dowels and more.   The the bottom for more supplies for a handy woman, or of course, for a handy man, he could load it like he wants!    Cute and different!  

I don't have a picture of the whole table, but it is large and restangular - blonde wood on the edge and the center is all white porcelain tile.  Sturdy 4 legs on each corner.  In very nice condition, hardly used!    I have 2 chairs in white - winsor style that would go with it very well also.    One is pictured next.    This is for sale and quickly at a good price.   I need the space..................   Many more things to come.  

The blue chair again and the step table in the robin's egg blue.   The table has been sold, but thought you'd enjoy seeing it. 

3 plates in different colors all dressed up with shells for decor of a beechy or coastal theme.   The other ones follow. 

This is a samon colored plate.  Very attractive with the shells.  

White plate for this one with a little jute twine mingled in. 

a nice white shelf with 3 pegs that will fit close to the wall and be sturdy.

Silver picture frames.   Real Silver plate as I polished them!   Sure beautiful now.

Here is the round table I promised with the 4 chairs you saw earlier.   This table top is an antique oak round table and it is now on black wrought iron legs.   Very sturdy and ready to use!    I do use the word 'sturdy' a lot, but my husband is the one who makes sure that all is in good repair and 'sturdy' for lots of use to come.  

An antique square table.  Nice for plants or????   whateveer.  Nice side table. 

The new suitcase use -  on a table for an end table.   It is fully functual as can be opened for storage or shut at the end of your couch for an end table with the lamp on top.     Different and very popular.    This is one of 3 I had, as the others have sold.  

See this trunk standing on end???   It is minus the top and is now holding a table top!  Shelves have been added inside.   This is really what a re-purposed piece of furniture is!!!!

Another dining chair, and it has a twin also.  2 of them.  Turquoise is such a popular color now and of course the beautiful floral upholstery on the padded seat.  A punch of color where you need it. 

An assortment of old windows for you to design whatever you want out of them.   Some have used them on walls, some to hang in front of another window and then some have left the shop and I don't know what they are being used for now.   However, I'm sure you all have ideas about them........

This is a wreath made of barbed wire with burlap ties and sea shells to adorn it.    Decor in whateveer room you want to put it in.

Large drawer - now a wall hanging of shelves.  Easy to hang and fun to decorate.

This is one of my favorite pieces I have had.  It is an antique telephone table with the chair to match.  The same wood cut outs on the back of the chair and the sides of the table match.  Solid wood and ready for a place in your home!    Small and useful too.
